About
Research fellow at the European University Institute (RSCAS) since 2008 (currently Jean Monnet postdoctoral fellow), the author earned her PhD in 2007 at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg. Tamirace was a visiting scholar at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of California in Berkeley for the Spring Semester 2011, carrying out research on the possible linkages between Arab transnational politics in the US and sociopolitical change in the homeland.
Her research interests revolve around power-sharing systems in conflict societies, democratization studies, and political transnationalism.
