About
After having studied at the Universities of Florence and Mainz, I graduated at the University of Florence in 2006 and obtained my PhD in 2011 at the European University Institute with a thesis on the organisation of knowledge in court libraries of the late 16th century, basing on the case study of the Imperial library of Vienna and the legacy of the librarian Hugo Blotius. During the last year of my PhD I attended the Vatican school for library science in Rome. From July 2011 I am a Post-doctoral fellow at the project "Fuggerzeitungen. Ein frühneuzeitliches Informationsmedium und seine Erschließung" affilitated with the Institut für Österreichische Geschichtsforschung of the University of Vienna.
